Attenuation / Storm Water Tanks

Attenuation / Storm Water Tanks

landfill

For agricultural, horticultural or any other sites that require the installation of attenuation tank lining, we are able to offer a complete service. Over the years we have supplied high density polyethylene (HDPE) lining to a wide variety of locations, from sports grounds and housing developments, to aquatic centres and outdoor car parks.

We typically install attenuation tank lining on large sites and our team has over 23 years experience working on a range of projects. Each HDPE liner is designed, supplied and installed to meet the exact specifications of your tanks to ensure the drainage system continues to work effectively.

HDPE CAR PARK DRAINAGE SYSTEMS

The installation of HDPE liners into car parks provides a robust and efficient drainage system to protect the surface from flooding. In many cases we have laid the lining into car parks while also installing lining for attenuation tanks.

The two systems work in conjunction to protect buildings and public spaces from overflow of rainwater throughout the year. We have installed a wide variety of water drainage systems in car parks of all sizes, with each one guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years.

WHY YOU NEED HDPE LINING FOR ATTENUATION TANKS

Attenuation tanks are also referred to as Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS). The tanks play a key role in the management of storm water, surface water and excess drainage. The collection of the water significantly lowers the risk of flooding and erosion damage to the land, before slowly releasing it to a nearby drainage system using a controlled flow.

HOW WE INSTALL HDPE LINING FOR ATTENUATION TANKS

The installation team at IGMM Jones follow a streamlined procedure to ensure the box-welded liners fit perfectly inside the tank:

  • After the excavation has been completed we unfold the sides and base of the geomembrane at the foundation.
  • We then position the attenuation tank blocks and inlet, outlet and vent pipe holes are correctly cut before being completely sealed.
  • The base and sides of the geomembrane are pulled up to the side of the tank, before a lid is sealed into place.
  • Our team then fit piping that connects to external drainage systems before any required backfilling can be completed.
  • Once the installation is complete, all details are thoroughly checked and inspected.
